A Truce with Death
Norway, April 1940 – A snowstorm forces two groups of soldiers to seek refuge in an abondoned hut. An uneasy truce is formed, because one is English and the other German. Sergeant Kevin is distrustful of their new comrades and, due to a misunderstanding, causes the death of five men when he opens fire on the Germans. He sets out by himself to the HQ at Namsos, but is nearly killed when he slips off a cliff. It is when Hauptmann Holst, who has assumed command of the group, risks his own life to rescue him that Kevin realises that the Germans are men like themselves, just those on the other side.

Appointment with Glory
Murmansk Run – Wing-Commander Tony Marsh is assigned to the navy, specifically HMS Dauntless. He miraculously shoots down a Me 110 in his Kingfisher, but due to the bad weather doesn't do much more flying. Out of necessity he decides to go after a cripple U-boat, before it can vector the rest of the wolf-pack in on the convoy. This takes him right to the coast, where he locates the secret submarine base. The Germans open fire and shoot him down, but he escapes hidden in a convoy of supplies going to the front. There he steal a truck and races through no-man’s land, only to be captured by the Soviets as a German spy. General Gregoriev decides that Marsh’s story warrants an investigation and takes him along on the planned attack. Tony Marsh then uses an abandoned KV.1 tank, filled with explosives, to destroy the sub-pen.
